As part of our continued growth and commitment to innovation, Home Project is excited to announce the initiative of a groundbreaking project aimed at the burgeoning U.S. housing crisis characterized by soaring costs and limited sustainability measures, starting in Florida.
To meet this demand while promoting sustainability, Home Project is pioneering the innovative use of recycled polypropylene to manufacture Polyblocks, addressing waste management issues and providing a pragmatic solution to the construction of affordable and sustainable housing. This initiative not only helps tackle the housing crisis, but also aligns with our values of environmental responsibility and long-term growth. Join us as we take the first steps toward a more sustainable, accessible future for Florida’s communities and across national markets.
The Company's proposed action plan centers on addressing the significant environmental issue of polypropylene waste. By collecting, sorting, purifying, and recycling loose polypropylene, Home Project Intl aims to contribute positively to environmental sustainability. The Company’s recycling process will transform this waste into high-density recycled polypropylene, which will then be used to manufacture lightweight, reinforced concrete blocks known as Polyblocks. These blocks will form the basis of a reinforced masonry system for constructing residential homes.
Our Poliblock system will serve as a modular construction solution, employing structural columns and blocks specifically designed for internal and external enclosure walls. These components will be crafted from reinforced polypropylene and feature tongue-and-groove, puzzle-shaped couplings to facilitate easy assembly. The system's modularity will enable the construction of modular environments suitable for single-story homes.
The raw materials for the Poliblock system will be sourced from recycled polypropylene, specifically from loose containers collected from various environments. These containers will undergo a process of selection, crushing, washing, and melting to produce the blocks and the coating for reinforced columns.
Each unit will be designed to cover a large area yet remain light enough to be maneuvered by a maximum of two people, allowing for the complete installation of home walls by two individuals within a maximum of three days.
Reinforced Poliblock System:
This option will incorporate polypropylene panels reinforced with galvanized metal sheets and steel columns with a polypropylene coating. The reinforced Poliblock system for enclosures will be anchored on a concrete beam that is cast together with the system's columns. The gaps between the columns will then be filled with reinforced Poliblock honeycombs, forming a sturdy and integrated structural assembly.
Poliblock System (Concrete):
This alternative will utilize polypropylene panels also reinforced with galvanized metal sheets, but these will be used for the formwork of reinforced concrete columns, aligning with the traditional system of confined masonry. In this configuration, the Poliblock system will facilitate the traditional construction process by serving as formwork for reinforced concrete columns, integrating seamlessly with established building techniques.
Home Project Intl will markedly improve living standards for low-income families by providing affordable, high-quality housing that is crucial for the overall well-being of these households. By utilizing its innovative Polyblock system, we will construct durable and cost-effective homes that lower the proportion of income families need to spend on housing. This reduction in housing costs means that families will have more disposable income to allocate towards essential services like healthcare, education, and nutrition, which are often compromised under the strain of high rent or mortgage payments. Our Company’s efforts will enable low-income families to invest in their future, creating a foundation for sustained personal and economic growth.
